Restaurant Il Cortile sur Mulhouse

Overall, a good experience at this Michelin-starred restaurant in Mulhouse. The building is quite attractive, overlooking a small courtyard, where, however, the entire waitstaff was smoking in full view of all the arriving customers. Normally, that's not ideal, but in a Michelin-starred establishment, it's unacceptable. Inside, the decor is beautiful and warm, with a calm atmosphere and well-set tables. The staff was charming from beginning to end, but there were many mistakes during service, including dishes being served that hadn't been ordered. The waitstaff is primarily young and should therefore be assisted by a chef, who was apparently absent (though these young people are, at least, charming!). As for the food, we ordered two Cortile menus at €128 each. Everything was excellent; the fish was melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked to perfection, as was the meat, which was remarkably tender. The tagliatelle with lobster and morels was quite stingy, neither with lobster nor morels. The dessert, while nicely presented, was very simple (the oranges weren't candied enough, in our opinion, as the overall impression was very bitter, and this bitterness lingered on the palate for quite some time). At €128 for a six-course menu, the price is quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the meat and fish. The wines are good and affordable. Nevertheless, there are several areas for improvement; I'm not sure the star rating is truly representative. The atmosphere was also rather oppressive after leaving the restaurant in the evening, with some rather aggressive young people in the square.

Personally, for a first time in a Michelin-starred restaurant, it was very good, but not incredible either, but good enough for a first time.

We had dinner Tuesday evening at Il Cortile restaurant. We were seated on the terrace in a beautiful courtyard. The setting was idyllic. The service was discreet and friendly. We opted for the Dolce Vitae menu at €98, which was simply delicious. The presentation of the dishes was elegant and refined. All accompanied by an excellent Italian wine. A truly wonderful evening in a very good Michelin-starred restaurant. It richly deserves its star.

Thank you for this superb moment, a feast for the eyes and the palate, and the service was impeccable. Bravo to the front-of-house and kitchen teams, from Ka Grand Cuisine à Viverie, with its exquisite taste. It was an extraordinary evening, and the setting was beautifully decorated. Bravo again to the entire team; it's top-notch. We had an unforgettable time. See you soon!

We were completely won over by what was on our plates, but the service was really more than mediocre!

A rating that could and should have been much better. We were forced to eat at 12:30 pm in 31-degree heat on the terrace. Of course, it was shaded by awnings… but personally, I didn't enjoy my meal in that heat! It wasn't for lack of asking to be seated inside, but the instruction was to seat everyone on the terrace… The young women serving were smiling and friendly, despite the sweltering heat. In short, if I were to book a table at this restaurant again, my first concern would be whether the service would be inside or on the terrace.

To congratulate my son on his academic achievements, we enjoyed a truly special moment. It was wonderful, absolutely flawless. Perfection exists in Mulhouse, and it's right here. Well done to the team!

My opinion is very mixed. I quite liked the decor and the food, however, the waiter was rather unpleasant despite his smile, and on our way out we encountered groups of intoxicated young people in front of the restaurant. Avoid it on Thursday evenings.
