Restaurant I'Ulivo sur Menton

This is a table that is worth the trip! Authentic Sardinian cuisine, a gastronomy rarely offered in France, worked by a chef from a family of restaurateurs from the southwest of the island. For this midday meal, I really had a wonderful time, from start to finish, with dishes of rare flavor and copiousness! As a starter, an absolutely marvelous Sardinian ham accompanied by a sheep's cheese, no less tasty and a homemade bread, as crunchy as you like, the famous Carasau di Fonni bread. To follow, as a main course, I was served a suckling pig whose perfection of cooking even encouraged me not to hesitate to eat the skin of said piglet, which was absolutely crunchy. As an accompaniment, potatoes, roasted to perfection and in a completely original way, branches of celery root to be enjoyed raw. All accompanied by a wine, Sardinian of course, all round and perfectly suited to the dishes served, on the advice of the chef himself. In summary, during this stop in Menton, I had a very good culinary time in a comfortable, tastefully designed setting and was welcomed by a boss with whom we interacted in a very interesting manner. As for the price, it is entirely justified given the high quality of this beautiful set. I VERY STRONGLY recommend it and will not fail, for my part, to return there to discover other proposals.

Menu affiché dehors moins cher que celui à l'intérieur, et différent. Accueil un peu forcé. Un loup de mer ferme et frais. De jolies créations culinaires, il est vrai. Seule la sauce piquante nous a été difficile à accepter, sur le cappiaco en entrée.

We often stopped in front of it but never went as far as the menu thinking that it was a tourist restaurant, in fact not at all, the welcome is warm and good-natured, the cuisine is generous and does honor to sardinia. The desserts are particularly delicious. Great discovery and address to remember. thank you
