Restaurant Jean D'la Queue sur La Haie-Fouassiere

Always a pleasant welcome and top-notch service for a good meal full of the flavour of our Nantes region.

It had been touted as a must-try in the Nantes area… but it was a real disappointment. There were seven of us on a Saturday night. The restaurant was lively, but far from full. Despite this, we waited over an hour between our appetizers and main courses, which is particularly long. Special mention, however, goes to the waitress, who was lovely and very professional. On the other hand, the behavior of one of the waiters clearly ruined the experience: unpleasant and unwelcoming, to the point that a heavy atmosphere settled over us every time he came to our table. The food was decent, but nothing exceptional. The meat wasn't cooked properly: we had to ask for some dishes to be sent back to the kitchen. The lamb, in particular, was far too overcooked, dry, and tasteless, drowning in its sauce. For a place presented as a "must-try," we frankly expected much better, both in terms of service and food. An experience that ultimately fell far short of our expectations.

Okay, the price is moderate, but the food is really good, the atmosphere is great, and the servers are very friendly and smiling. Honestly, I recommend it.

Terrible service, poor organization, unprofessional and unpleasant staff, endless wait, don't be in a hurry. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my friends; it's a bit pricey for its reputation and I won't be going back anytime soon.
