Unbeatable, the best restaurant in Isère. For the price, you get generous portions made with fresh ingredients. And an excellent wine cellar. I highly recommend it.

Excellent experience! The food was delicious, no complaints whatsoever! And the service was excellent; we received a very warm welcome from servers with a great sense of humor, helpful advice, and a genuine desire to share a pleasant moment with their customers! We will definitely be back!

When serving wine by the glass, they do not serve the wine from the bottle, therefore you do not know what you are drinking!

We had already visited in winter, and this time we were pleasantly surprised by the huge outdoor space. The food was very good; everyone enjoyed it, although I must admit I'm not usually drawn to elaborate appetizers. Sometimes simplicity is more appreciated. The appetizers were served too quickly; we didn't have time to enjoy our aperitifs. And the wait for dessert was far too long.

Not having lunch or dinner at the Hotel des Bains is a fatal mistake 🤫 The menu is varied, featuring expertly prepared local products from a selection of renowned suppliers, and a few signature dishes, including the famous ravioli gratin that's simply divine... but regulars come to the Hotel des Bains for the wine list, boasting 15,000 bottles and 1,500 different wines. You'll find some exceptional wines, and the food and wine pairings are always fabulous! A truly beautiful restaurant, ideal for summer evenings... but the atmosphere is just as pleasant in winter... a word of advice: book in advance, as it's a victim of its own success!!! We love it!!!

A very popular restaurant when visiting the lake. It's ideally located, but the parking lot is almost always full. This time, we were able to get in thanks to a reservation. The establishment has been around since 1872 and has been passed down through generations. You can feel it; the place has a real identity. We came to try the food. For starters, we had ceviche. According to the waiter, the fish came from China. I admit I was a little surprised, but the result was very good, with a combination of flavors I'd never tasted before. For our main course, we had braised pork cheek. Honestly, it almost tasted like a good beef bourguignon, go figure! It was excellent, even if the portion was a little small. This is clearly bistronomic cuisine, where quality takes precedence over quantity. To finish, a crème brûlée... a little too burnt. On the other hand, a major plus is all the little details bearing the Hôtel des Bains logo: the chocolate on the desserts, the napkins, the water bottles... It gives the restaurant a lot of personality. A minor drawback, however, is the terrace chairs, which aren't the most comfortable in the middle of summer. As for the service, we were surprised to see so many waiters. Despite this, the dishes didn't arrive any faster, and several waiters came to ask us the same questions. With so many covers, the organization must be quite complex. The setting is very pleasant. The entrance gate even reminded us of Jurassic Park. The restrooms, however, could use a bit of a refresh for an establishment of this caliber. The wine cellar, visible from the dining room, is superb, and the chef sometimes comes around to the tables with his characteristic humor. Finally, let's talk about the price... Here, it's best to come with a well-lined wallet, especially if you're in a group. Also, be sure to check the supplements on some menus; the bill can quickly add up. In short, a very good restaurant with quality cuisine, a pleasant setting, and real character. However, it's clearly a restaurant for those willing to pay the price for the experience. If you're primarily looking for the best value for money, this might not be your first choice.
