Restaurant La Voulzie sur Lathus-Saint-Remy

Discovered by chance, what a wonderful surprise! Magnificent views over the little Gartempe river, which is so peaceful in summer. The staff were lovely, and what can I say about the sirloin steak? The best I've ever had, Limousin beef. I highly recommend spending some time at this establishment. Thank you, and see you soon, for sure.

The meal was excellent, but the service was unwelcoming. Either it was my touristy appearance, or the fact that we each only ordered one dish, asked three questions about the type of beer, and received the dessert menu before deciding not to order any desserts, that was the problem, but there was absolutely NO EMPATHY OR SMILE (even when I asked if they had seen my wife because I was worried). In any case, I won't be going back, even though the food was delicious. Next time, I'll have a picnic right next door, BECAUSE SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT, IF NOT MORE IMPORTANT, THAN THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD.

Passing through while scouting locations for a long bike ride in this region, I stopped for a coffee to get a feel for the place. First, the scenery was breathtaking, then the warm welcome from the women was fantastic, and the cleanliness and service were impeccable! The prospects for providing the expected enjoyment at the end of a long ride are promising. I'll be back; the reviews are glowing.

We come here every year when we visit family in Lathus. The food is always amazing. Reservations are required and the menu changes with the season. But a beautiful view of the river, great food and a beautiful atmosphere. The owners are very friendly. Always a pleasure going here.

First visit to La Voulzie. I had a starter and dessert for €17.90: a homemade terrine and a strawberry pavlova... It was delicious! The menu offers about 5 or 6 starters to choose from, just like the main courses. There's a slightly larger dessert menu, as well as a chef's daily special. You'll find dishes with meat, fish, and/or vegetarian options. A children's menu is also available. The welcome was very warm. The service was excellent. Thank you to the whole team. The setting is magnificent; the restaurant is right on the banks of the Gartempe River. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. With the warmer weather coming, the terrace by the water must be fantastic.

A really lovely very French restaurant in a stunning location. Classic dishes all served very well made with fresh, in-season produce. Very generous serving of dessert wine instead of pudding for me! The river is absolutely stunning and once night descends you're treated to a display from the well trained team of beautiful Giant Peacock Moths. Apparently this is the first year they've had them and there are currently 5. I'm attaching my best attempt at a photo. There are other sights to see very close by too including the Roc d'Enfer. Huge car park so no challenge there either. Definitely recommended.
