Restaurant Le Bois de la Marche sur Liguge

Had a great stay here for a couple of nights. The property is on the outskirts of the city and within a quick drive to Poitiers. There is a large retail park too within a 5 min drive. The room itself was very comfortable and spacious with. Smart TV to keep the kids entertained. Rooms were all clean and tidy. Slight issues with the day 2 clean as the sheets weren’t changed (had asked for it in the morning) and tea/coffee set not refilled (with no cups at all). But it was all resolved after we spoke to their friendly and helpful staff later in the day. Breakfast buffet was very good and tasty with a large spread Is cheese and cold cuts to supplement the hot food. And the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful with glass all around. Would be back.

Large parking lot. Clean and decent-sized room. Professional reception. However, one expects a bit more compared to other hotel chains, which I didn't find here.

A good hotel for a stop on the travel through France. Really good breakfast.

Easy access, large parking lot, and a decent welcome. However, the hotel is showing its age. Room: Kettle provided, but no cup; no soap in the bathroom next to the sink; hair from previous guests stuck to the door. Restaurant: No cook in the kitchen, only a food warmer. The set menu is far too expensive for what you get. The mushroom soup was okay, but completely unseasoned. The guinea fowl was raw: sent back to the kitchen, it came back raw a second time… For 28 euros, that's disappointing. The fact that the person in the kitchen didn't care is even more deplorable. The only positive point was the friendliness and kindness of the waiter! In short, it's on the road, it's convenient, but you don't necessarily want to come back. Unless you plan to eat somewhere else.

I only tried the restaurant but it's always a real treat for the taste buds and the calm of this place is ideal for a relaxing moment.

Friendly, clean, welcoming staff, quality traditional cuisine. You can taste the desire to share a good time in every dish. I thoroughly enjoyed it... The place is warm and shaded, located in a forest, 10 minutes from Poitiers. Easy parking.

The morning and evening reception service was good! The common areas are clean and modern! However, the room: maintenance, smell, and dirt under the bed: reported upon departure!

Hello, First disappointment: room/cottage 151, it was IMPOSSIBLE to adjust the temperature. So I asked for help at reception, and the response was "yes, okay." I went back at noon, the room was cleaned (great!), but the temperature was still not what I had requested. I repeated my request, and was told "yes, okay." As a result, I had already spent the first night with a stuck high temperature, and now it's happening again because they are INCAPABLE of telling me they haven't been able to fix the problem. The least they could do is inform the customer; even in my line of work, it's BASIC! (A thumbs up for the fallen leaves and for the presence of a spider in the room—I'm not talking about a harvestman, please be more attentive to cleaning...) Otherwise, the food is very good, except, and this is the second disappointment, when one person is forgotten from a group of about ten people several times... Not great, really... They need to go back and improve! Sincerely, A group from the Breton agricultural supply company...
