We had the pleasure of discovering "Les Cocottes Gessiennes" in Gex with friends, and the experience was simply exceptional. Located at the top of Gex, this restaurant benefits from an ideal location, clearly visible from the main road. A small parking lot opposite makes access very convenient.
We went there at midday and enjoyed the warm and authentic atmosphere which perfectly represents France. Despite moderate attendance at this time, we were warmly welcomed upon our arrival.
The service was impeccable. Our server was really great, taking the time to explain the entire menu to us in detail and advising us on wine with great sympathy.
To start, we chose the perfect eggs with morels and meurette. It was a real delight, fresh and tasty. For the main course, we opted for the catch of the day, a fresh sea bass accompanied by small vegetables, as well as a lamb shank and Uruguayan beef. Each dish was excellent, highlighting the freshness of the products and the know-how of the chef, who makes everything himself.
I highly recommend “Les Cocottes Gessiennes” to all lovers of good French cuisine. You will not be disappointed by the quality of the dishes and the friendly atmosphere of this restaurant. An address not to be missed !
Great service and top food! The quantities are generous and the dishes are delicious! The wine list is well detailed and the wines are very good. I highly recommend this very nice little restaurant!
