Restaurant Naina sur Paris

09/08/2026: Brilliant location with view of the eifel tower, food was fantastic, staff were very polite and very friendly

08/08/2026: On July 13th, my family and I had booked dinner for 10:00 PM to watch the fireworks at 11:30 PM. Due to the massive crowds and public transportation being suspended, we were forced to walk from Roosevelt Station on the Champs-Élysées, arriving around 10:25 PM. The front desk manager was very nice and didn't refuse us a table even though we were late (we really tried everything; taxis couldn't get in, and even if they did, they'd be stuck in traffic). He managed to give us a spot with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The group behind us was all dressed up. Just as we were ordering, a tremor and a commotion caused by the crowd erupted, followed by a surge of energy that rushed towards us in all directions. We were terrified and eventually hid behind a taller pillar. The sheer panic and trampling of the crowd pushed through the restaurant's potted plants, two tables, and the aisle, even overturning our table. The poor crowd! The waiters had to move the tables and chairs to find the lady lying on the floor. Another middle-aged man was holding his relative (his mother?) and asking for a chair to rest on. There was broken glass, cups, and cutlery everywhere. We were still shaken and had no appetite to continue eating. Ambulances kept squeezing through the crowd to arrive. Even though the fireworks went ahead as scheduled, we left immediately. I realized on the way home that I was still clutching the menu in my hand. The people and staff here are of very high quality. Although they suffered heavy losses tonight, and although I've been to Paris four times, I think I'll have the chance to visit again!
