A pleasant meal; passing through Joigny, we enjoyed the food, the beautiful presentation of the dishes, the quick service, and the friendliness of the waiters who were kind enough to adapt the dishes to my dietary restrictions. One drawback, however: the open-faced sandwiches served as appetizers were too thick and covered with cooked onion, topped with cheese.
I didn't enjoy them: too heavy!

Currently, the restaurant rents an open space adjacent to the dining room, which is open to businesses. This results in excessive noise in the dining room, even though more distant tables were available. That said, we received pleasant service, wine, and an appetizer.
For our main course, my wife and I ordered a steak tartare, supposedly hand-cut, which resembled mashed potatoes. Even a hamburger would have been firmer. What a disappointment! The manager refused to take responsibility. We declined dessert and coffee. We took a picture of this supposedly hand-cut steak tartare.

Excellent restaurant where I had dinner while passing through Joigny. Easy access and a very warm welcome from the owner. The snails as a starter were delicious, as was the main course. The wine pairings were subtle. A very pleasant atmosphere; I had a wonderful evening. A great find, a bit of a happy accident.

While in town for the Migennes Collector 2026 event, we decided to try this restaurant.

The dishes were beautifully presented. The foie gras was sublime. I ordered sweetbreads, which had too many mushrooms and not enough sweetbreads. My partner's dish was different. I was just unlucky. The meal was generous.
