Spending the evening in Bordeaux, we wanted to have dinner at a well-located restaurant. With Gemini's help, we found "L'Autre Petit Bois." We were so glad we did! We had a wonderful evening: we were upstairs and the setting is incredible, a blend of poetry and rich, personal decor overlooking the Place du Parlement. You either love it or you don't: we loved it. As for the food, we ordered open-faced sandwiches and a croque monsieur: very good and very generous portions. Excellent value for money. Impeccable service. It was fantastic!

A delightful surprise discovered by chance!
The Landes-style croque monsieur is generous, and its foie gras cream enhances the flavor of the ham and cheese. Truly delicious! The salad is fresh, and the vinaigrette is just right, adding freshness and contrast.
The waiter is attentive and helpful. The charmingly old-fashioned woodland setting is enchanting; you feel like you've stepped into a 19th-century painting. I'll definitely be back!

we had a lovely lovely time at l’autre petit bois! the staff are lovely and friendly to english speakers :) the cocktails are pretty good and the food is amazing. the portion sizes are quite genereous so i would recommend sharing amongst the table, which is what we did

I had lunch at this little gem. Friendly staff who, luckily for me, spoke English. Quick service in a lovely atmosphere. Delicious food. I ordered a tartine - an open faced sandwich with tomatoes and burrata cheese. It was really tasty! Yummy side salad too. I highly recommend this restaurant while you are in Bordeaux.

Excellent service! The Portuguese waitress (sorry, we don't know your name) was incredibly professional and friendly. She also speaks a little Spanish, so the service was impeccable.
The food, a mixed cheese and charcuterie board, was more than generous. With two glasses of wine, it was enough for two people and reasonably priced.
Definitely a highly recommended place if you visit Bordeaux.

We stopped in here for a "quick lunch" while exploring Bordeaux and ended up polishing off a lovely bottle of wine and having far more food than we intended! A lovely little place, and the Croque Monsieur Landais I had was absolutely gorgeous.

Cozy place, the menu is simple and effective. I agree with some comments about the wait time. It was good, but it would have been nice to slightly melt the apple pieces on the foie gras toast – that would have been a bonus!
