Royal Champagne sur Champillon

Almost a year after our stay (December 2023), I realize that I still had not submitted a review. And yet the establishment deserves it because our stay was absolutely divine. We spent a wonderful weekend at the Royal Champagne, an exceptional address nestled in the heart of the Champagne region. This stay (marking a personal celebration) will remain etched in our memories, with the added bonus of a memorable New Year's celebration. A huge thank you to all the teams, without whom, the stay would certainly not have been the same. - Free upgrade (to a superb suite): A nice touch that made our stay even more special. - Impeccable welcome and service: From arrival to departure, the staff are exemplary in their kindness and professionalism. Each member of the team knew how to give us special attention, always with a pleasant word or a little delicate touch. - Champagne tasting at check-in: A glass of champagne to welcome us upon our arrival and immediately immerse us in the festive and local atmosphere! - Superb swimming pool area: The swimming pool area is both spacious and elegant, ideal for a moment of relaxation facing the magnificent surrounding landscapes. - Majestic establishment: The sober and refined decoration fits perfectly into the surrounding natural setting, bringing true harmony between luxury and nature. - Exceptional bar: The bar offers a very diverse champagne menu, with surprising discoveries at each tasting. Thanks to the team for their recommendations! - Exceptional breakfast: The breakfast served in your room is absolutely delicious, with high quality products and attentive service.

Very good, very good, excellent welcome and an exceptional setting. A magnificent place to discover in the region.

Increased wine selection, many independent winemakers are highlighted. The terrace is wide, the view is panoramic. If you go there during the summer season, I advise you to eat outside. Otherwise the bistro is well decorated, enough space, the menus are varied. The cuisine is quality. The service is also of very good quality with well-trained staff. This establishment is in the top 3 of champagne

Amazing hotel on amazing location. Also amazingly expensive, though. The personnel is extremely friendly; the views are breathtaking; the room is beautiful and luxurious. There is nothing that could be better. The restaurants are worth as well. La Bellevue provides for great views and simple but high quality ‘bistrot’ food (without the bistrot prices though). Le Royal is definitely worth a Michelin star with respect to food and wine/champagne. Some variety regarding the staff though; when we informed about the possibility to make a change in the menu, we were greeted with a frown, a remark about changes being difficult and ‘our risk if the champagne wouldn’t fit the dish’. And we were suggested to think it over for a few more minutes. Ultimately we came up with a proper ‘solution’ that was accepted by the staff. But really, the staff of a restaurant of this standing should be the one to propose alternatives or ‘solutions’, not us. It also led to us drinking water for the first 15 minutes as we were left in the dark a bit as to what aperitif we would want. It was not a big deal and the quality in every other way was terrific, but it’s just something we do not expect in a restaurant in this price and quality category. In any way, we spent two luxury and relaxing days at the hotel.

Meal on the terrace of the Bellevue which lives up to its name very well...... An exceptional view of the Champagne vineyards, a delicious meal from the smiling waiters and always with a nice word.

Really is another world when you stay here. Service and food magnificent

Fantastic location with a great view over the region. Fantastic food and great service by very friendly personnel. We'll come back for sure!

We had a fabulous dinner on the terrace and were served by Lilou who was absolutely delightful and made us feel so welcome. The champagne list was incredible and the somm had encyclopedic knowledge. We had some special bottles and can’t wait to return. The view you must see for yourself. Food was superb too

Lovely place for lunch or evening meal, even as a non-resident.

Tried the set menu. Some very nice dishes, some average ones. The service was nice once they got going, we were ignored at first since a large group came at the same time that seemed very chummy with the staff/managers. We have had better meals but the views are spectacular. If you don´t mind rubbing elbows with the beautiful people give La Bellevue a try.
