Update after a second visit: unfortunately, this time I was frankly disappointed.
During my first visit, I found the experience very good, hence my initial comment below. But this time, I found a real decline in both quality and quantity.
Prices have increased, which is understandable given the rising cost of raw materials. However, at €45 for the set menu, with an additional €2.50 for the foie gras, I expected more.
The dish consisted of barely half a duck breast, with a potato accompanied by crème fraîche and herbs, as well as zucchini. It wasn't bad, but the whole thing was quite simple, stingy, and much less refined than before.
The dessert was equally disappointing: a tiramisu heavily laden with speculoos, lacking any real appeal or flavor in my opinion.
In the end, I mostly felt that the prices had gone up while the portions had become smaller and less elaborate. A shame, because my first experience was much better.
October 2024 visit: A very good experience, the tasting menu for €42 excluding extras, we were greeted courteously and warmly! We stuffed ourselves 😅

A place we've frequented for a long time on our holiday route and that we still love just as much! We had another excellent family meal at S comme à Palaja. A very pleasant setting, a warm welcome, and consistently delicious food. A sure bet, we recommend it without hesitation!

We highly recommend this restaurant. We dine there once or twice a week. In our opinion, it's perfect, from the service and the kindness of the owners and servers to the delicious food and the romantic terrace. We'll definitely keep coming back for another wonderful meal together! A big thank you, you can go there without hesitation :)

A very good meal in the beautiful setting of the castle with warm and efficient service. The salmon tartare was particularly good and the cassoulet with duck confit and sausage, an emblematic dish of the region, was especially successful.
