Sagi sur Perpignan

We had lunch this Saturday with the family. We all opted for the four-course tasting menu at €34. No complaints whatsoever; the food was beautiful and delicious, and the service and chef were very friendly and pleasant. The three-course menu is €24. Keep up the good work and you'll remain a top restaurant in Perpignan.

The kitchen is beautifully laid out. In the evening, I had a wonderful meal on a reasonable budget. It's a sophisticated and intelligently prepared gourmet dish. The cooking is perfectly executed. It's excellent market cuisine for those who don't mind being surprised by an unexpected menu.

The food is disconcertingly simple and tasteless! Roasted romaine lettuce as a first course. Steamed asparagus and broad beans with a soft-boiled egg as a second course. Hake in squid ink with broccoli purée and equally tasteless broccoli. However, the dark chocolate dessert was divine! The wine pairing was completely uninteresting and served in a small quantity (less than 1 deciliter) for an exorbitant price (€19). I completely disagree with this concept where the chef chooses what we eat and the wine pairings without considering our preferences, and the waiter was dishonest to boot!
