Salakha sur Villeneuve-Les-Avignon

Having lived in the Vaucluse region for over 20 years, I only just discovered this Vietnamese restaurant in Villeneuve today. The place is clean, the atmosphere cozy and very understated. The menus are truly appealing, with all the flavors combined, just like home cooking. It's a welcome change from soulless all-you-can-eat buffets. A wonderful discovery.

A small, hidden restaurant on the banks of the Rhône in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, the owner welcomes you with a radiant and warm smile. Everything is neat and clean, and the dishes are all expertly prepared, as if you were in Saigon, Hoi An, or Hanoi. The service is attentive yet discreet. The menu is excellent, featuring delicious soups (the steamed ones are splendid), but you'll also find all the specialties of this beautiful country. A must-try, and worth repeating – it's like a canteen, but with the added bonus of very reasonable prices!

A wonderful discovery, I'd even say a gem. We were looking for an Asian restaurant in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and based our choice on Google reviews. We weren't disappointed, quite the opposite. The dishes are delicious and truly homemade. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Being Vietnamese myself, I was pleasantly surprised to rediscover the taste of my family's authentic cooking, and it's a real pleasure. The prices are really reasonable; the menu, including a starter, main course, and dessert, is only €23. The owner is very kind and welcoming; kudos to him for managing the service all by himself. There's a wide selection on the menu. The hygiene is excellent (I've never seen restaurant restrooms so clean). The terrace is pleasant and pretty. We won't go anywhere else but to Sa La Ka. It's popular; I recommend making a reservation (closed Wednesdays and Thursdays for lunch). Convenient parking right in front.
