Skab sur Nimes

First time here, and my opinion is mixed, especially considering we were in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The €58 set menu featured meat in the main course that wasn't as tender as expected. The tuna was excellent, as was the dessert. Being a coffee lover, I ordered a standard coffee. With water and coffee, the bill came to €70 per person. I was also surprised to see your four or five cooks leaving the restaurant one after the other around 2 pm (probably apprentices), walking through the dining room and among the customers. I will return to try other dishes.

Good restaurant but the wait between courses was too long for our liking.

Unfortunately, a disappointment for us. The decor is decidedly outdated (it feels like a 1990s housing estate house). The food is decent but lacks flair and the presentation is rather bland, sometimes even served on old-fashioned tableware (orange bubble glass plates!). The desserts are a definite plus. The service is lax (with the exception of one elegant and meticulous young woman): simplistic language, glasses being grabbed and lifted to pour water, the kitchen staff, having finished their shift at 10:30 pm, wandering through the room in shorts and carrying gym bags... Well... So many elements that detract from the refinement of this restaurant, making its Michelin star seem rather baffling. There are far better value-for-money options in Nîmes.

It was my first Michelin star restaurant visit, and it left a fantastic impression! The starters were fantastic - the highlight of the dinner, - and so was the entree of warm oysters! Overall, a phenomenal experience and we were even too full to finish the dessert at the end of the night, which was a shame, as both service and almost all the food was spectacular (all outside main course, which not what we expected - but it didn't spoil our experience).

Discovered thanks to a friend, the service and cuisine are impeccable; time flies by, and the place is peaceful despite being in the heart of Nîmes. A wonderful experience; we'll be back. Thank you.

Incredible food and excellent service.

A 1* Michelin rated venue in a beautiful outdoor dining setting under spectacular trees. One would never expect this hidden outdoor courtyard from just looking at the restaurant’s modest street entrance. We opted for the chef’s 6-course tasting menu with curated wine pairings. The chef’s unique combinations of hot/cold, sweet/savory courses created our most memorable dining experience in Nimes. The palette-cleansing tomato-infused sorbet was out-of-this-world, as was the second herb-infused sorbet. The finale to the meal was the fluffiest, lightest and delectable soufflé ever made. We are spoiled. Service was friendly, professional and attentive. Our water and wine glasses were never empty. The wine pours were very generous. It’s a small venue, so reservations are a must.

We come back again and again. Pleasant dining room, perfect garden under the trees, beautiful, well-spaced tables with tablecloths, refined and inventive cuisine prepared by a passionate chef, efficient service from the lady in the dining room. Everything contributes to having an excellent time. We would like 37.5 bottles.

I love it! The welcome is always warm, the food is of very high quality, and the menus are regularly updated!

One of the best meals we’ve ever had for a very reasonable price. Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully presented. The service was amazing as well. We highly recommend.
