Disappointed by the welcome and service, despite one exceptional staff member!
We picked up our order this past Tuesday, October 13th, around 9 pm, and I wanted to share our experience regarding the service at Sushi Street (knowing that we are REGULAR customers, I order at least once a week, sometimes twice).
My father and my little sister have also been regular customers for several years.
First of all, the person at the register is particularly unpleasant. Whether on the phone or in person, it's the same: she barely looks at the customers, answers curtly, and constantly gives the impression of being rushed. The bare minimum in an establishment is knowing how to welcome customers with a little consideration and politeness. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've dealt with her on the phone, and her attitude is recurring. It's becoming really annoying. If you don't like your job, you should quit!
Regarding the staff member who was standing next to her behind the counter and who wears glasses, the welcome was no more pleasant. His attitude was also unpleasant and lacked any interpersonal skills. When you work in customer-facing roles, how you speak to people is just as important as the service you provide.
Fortunately, not everyone is like that! I want to highlight the behavior of the gentleman wearing a black cap and a black uniform, without glasses. He, on the other hand, was absolutely delightful! Polite, helpful, smiling, and possessing genuine interpersonal skills, he even interrupted his meal to assist customers. It's exactly this kind of attitude that makes a difference and makes you want to come back. He was professional and attentive, and truly deserves to be recognized.
It's a shame that such a pleasant staff member is let down by the attitude of other team members. We're not asking for extraordinary service, simply respect, politeness, and a minimum of attention to customers. If she can look us in the eye without avoiding us, that would be great too, lol.
I sincerely hope this feedback will be taken into account, as it's unfortunate that the customer experience depends so much on the person you get. A big thank you to the gentleman in the black cap for his professionalism and kindness. However, a real effort is needed regarding the telephone and till service.
As for the food, it's great, except for the coleslaw, which was rather dry and tasteless. Everything else is delicious!
