15/08/2026: Very tasty! The fish is delicious, exceptionally fresh, the staff is pleasant, the presentation and serving are amazing. The air conditioning saved us, we had a good rest and ate deliciously.

26/07/2026: I came here looking for matcha and found much more. Best mochi I have ever tried and the coffee is amazing. The welcome is warm and the atmosphere is calm . You can tell the products are of amazing quality. Chiara even stayed open till later so we could enjoy our treats in peace. I strongly recommend this place <3

30/07/2026: EXTRAORDINARY. I thought I knew Japanese cuisine well, but I was blown away when I discovered this gem… I immediately felt the love and care with which the dishes were prepared. I loved everything: the food, of course, the attentive staff, and the owners, who are absolutely lovely and explain how to optimize your dining experience, with tips and explanations for each dish… I highly recommend it… it's truly a favorite.

21/07/2026: Our favorite Japanese restaurant. We've been coming here since it opened! The tempura is exceptional, and the rest is the best Japanese food you can find in Lyon since the very classy Sakura closed many years ago, sadly. Personally, I always get the Rising Sun menu, which is very comprehensive. But the à la carte menu is also very extensive.

23/07/2026: 10/10 experience. Fish quality was impeccable. Lovely saki pairing that matched the courses perfectly but was also so fun. Beautiful flavors that were comforting (familiar fish) and mind expanding (amazing flavor combinations) all at once. Service was wonderful and friendly to English speakers. Beautiful dishes and linen I wish I could have purchased. It would have been at home at much more expensive price, but the value of this meal makes it exceptional and one not miss. Amazing meal at a price that cannot be beat. Thank you to Reddit for helping me find it! I never write reviews but this place seems to be a sleeper online so want to help get the word out.

29/06/2026: We tried this restaurant for the first time by ordering takeout. We were greeted by a very kind person. Everything was delicious; it was the best sushi I've ever had. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and it was great value for money. The coleslaw and miso soup were also very good. You can tell it's homemade. We'll definitely be back!

16/07/2026: The setting is really lovely, perfect for a romantic evening! The service is quite fast, and it's good value for money. I'm taking off one star for value for money, because I admit I chose this place thinking the quality would be a bit higher than other restaurants of the same type, but it was pretty much the same overall... Nevertheless, we had a good time. Let's just say we paid for the beautiful location and the friendly atmosphere. I still recommend it.
