We came across this hidden gem during our adventures around old town Nice. The food was fantastic and the service was great.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and had no idea it is Portuguese (the name is very neutral). It was almost empty when we took our place here, but soon all the tables were taken. Our food was OK. The sardines were pretty good! My daughter ordered pasta :) It was very good, but the portion was huge :) There was only one waitress, who was looking a little bit strange and speaking no English (we were OK with that). I was wondering if appearance of employees is not that important for French cafes? So she was running back and forth , trying to please everyone. In general we enjoyed our evening here, especially that we learned that this place has a long history and was quite popular.

Tasty sardines and friendly service. Small local restaurant with fresh food and great wine, located in a quiet street just off the main alley. It blends in beautifully with Nice character and the food is cooked with fresh local ingredients.

The food is excellent, perfect if you want to experience traditional French cuisine in a picturesque atmosphere. The staff struggles to speak English, but with a little effort, customers can make themselves understood.

Excellent Portuguese restaurant in the heart of Old Nice. Delicious food and very polite and attentive service. The prices are quite reasonable, thank you very much, we will gladly return.

Portions are great, don’t expect a lot though. Just be more detailed with your order, and surely the chef can prepare the meat/fish according to your preferences. I was disappointed that octopus was not a part of the menu any longer, I suggest all restaurants to share their up to date menu..

16/05/2026: A beautiful, welcoming little place, with delicious piadina dough and truly fillings! The owner welcomed us with his signature Apulian focaccia. He and his wife were incredibly friendly and charming. Recommended for a relaxing and tasty break.
