14/08/2024: We stayed 3 nights, my wife, my 23-month-old daughter and I in this 4-star establishment during our Breton stay in the most beautiful of their rooms (La Suite)
Unfortunately this stay did not live up to the hopes we had for this place. On the establishment's website as well as on reference sites we see pretty photos of the place as well as the suite, with its touch of Danish design.
Unfortunately, the reality is more mixed than that.
First of all, the place is quite remote and as a result, the mobile internet network does not work very well, so we were counting on WiFi to take over but the WiFi network is even worse. I should surely have looked at the reviews regarding the WiFi rating on Booking which is 5.4/10. Regarding the suite itself, it is very spacious (60m²) and has a private jacuzzi. The bathroom, made up of the same jacuzzi and a double walk-in shower, is in my opinion the most beautiful space in the suite. On the other hand, the parquet floor constantly creaks and it quickly becomes unpleasant.
The suite does not have an air conditioning system which is very regrettable in times of heatwave (33° the day we arrived) although the establishment provided us with 2 fans for our stay.
The insulation also leaves something to be desired, we were able to hear every step from the room above for 2 consecutive evenings.
Another point which concerns the cleaning service part, we left our room at 12 p.m. to visit the region but we finally returned to our room at 3:20 p.m. prevented by the rain which continued to fall. Unfortunately the room was still not made (3 hours after our departure). So I spoke to the one who was to be the housekeeper, telling her that the room was not done and that we had put up the sign for it to be done but according to her terms (they had a lot of work, and that they do the new arrivals first and the re-beds are done afterwards, they have until 4:30 p.m. to do them), the room has finally been cleaned but the tone and the words are not really appropriate in my opinion.
Last point of disappointment, the breakfast which clearly lacks variety.
To conclude I think that this establishment is recognized and undoubtedly suitable for ceremonies (weddings...) but does not come close to the service that one expects from a 4 star hotel, having done many others such This is one of those, if not the one, that disappointed me the most.
14/08/2024: We stayed 3 nights in the mansion suite.
We expected better. Firstly it is very poorly insulated. We could all hear what was happening above us (the upstairs neighbors made noise until very late at night and very early in the morning) and the cars despite the windows being closed.
The parquet floor cracked a lot. In the bathroom, no place to store things, we had to take a chair to be able to put them down.
The wifi network... A disaster! No network in the building. And the BIG downside, no air conditioning! Nowadays and given their 4 stars I find that unacceptable.
As for breakfast, we remain on the same wavelength... disappointed.
On Monday morning there was almost nothing. No choice. On Tuesday and Wednesday there was a little more choice but nothing crazy.
The reception and breakfast staff are friendly, the suite is spacious, the jacuzzi nice and the pool is large. These are the only positive points.
