10/05/2025: About two weeks after arriving in Paris, I was walking the streets near Place d'Italie around noon, at which point I walked down Avenue Choisy and found myself in the Chinatown, on the corner of Rue de Tolbiac, after which I found a small, clean banmi shop. The half-sized chicken banmi I ordered was excellent, as the plentiful meat was nicely flavored with just a hint of fish sauce and the bun paired well with the ingredients, including the koreander and sliced ​​carrots. (NB. The bread is softer than a baguette, so if you prefer the latter, it may not be to your taste.) Overall, given the very reasonable price (4.5 euros) for a fairly substantial sandwich, and the friendliness of the staff, I found this lunch very pleasant.
