Tang Gourmet sur Lognes

There's always a wait here, but not too long. Simply because the quality is good. I'm removing two stars and adding to my review. Today a new employee was working the butcher's station, clearly with insufficient training. He was reprimanded several times by his colleague and once by his supervisor. As for me, I had specified that I wanted the head of the Peking duck, and it wasn't there. Furthermore, the Peking pork was cut in a very unorthodox manner.

My go-to takeout spot whenever I'm doing my grocery run at Tang Frères in the 13th — convenient to grab on the way out. I always order the crispy pork belly and the chicken citronnelle, which comes with rice included, and both are consistently good. Where it falls short is the dim sum and tempura — both come out quite oily, more than I'd expect for the price. If you're not a fan of oily food, I'd skip those two and go for the pork belly or chicken citronnelle instead. Honestly, for frozen dim sum, you're better off just grabbing a pack from Tang Frères next door and cooking it yourself at home — better value and you control the oil. Practical note: there's parking available if you're using the Tang Frères lot, which makes the stop even easier. Best for a quick, reliable takeout meal while grocery shopping in the area — just stick to the pork belly and chicken citronnelle rather than the fried items.

The lemongrass beef sandwich is good. The bread is fresh. The chicken spring rolls are way too greasy. I asked them to reheat them. They were really too greasy and indigestible. There was grease all over the paper napkin. I won't order them again. The staff isn't very friendly. Be careful with your bill because there are often mistakes. It all depends on who serves you.

The roast duck and crispy pork belly are excellent. The pork belly is just a touch too salty for my taste. The char siu is rather average, nothing special. The Vietnamese bánh mì is good, but I prefer the ones you find in the 13th arrondissement. I haven't tried the other dishes yet, but the overall impression is very positive and I would gladly return.

I don't recommend the beef sandwich because it's very difficult to chew. Unfortunately, this is the third time I've had this experience. So, I won't be ordering beef again.

The Banh mi are very good and very affordable

Very crowded, a 20-minute queue for a sandwich, no parking nearby – frankly quite annoying if you just want to get takeaway

Tang Gourmet is a safe bet, but prices are increasing insidiously and continuously (photos from March, then May 2025), while the sandwiches are getting poorer (coriander has long since disappeared from sandwiches like the lemongrass beef one), the rotisserie and the set menus are taking the full brunt of inflation (0.50€ a drink before versus 1.30€ now)

Hello, I was disappointed with the service; not a single smile and a tone more akin to that of a warlord. The food was good value for money. But I must insist, they lack the typical Asian friendliness.

We've come a few times for takeout, we're always satisfied and the staff are always very friendly! We'll continue to come with pleasure.
