Nice concept, as is the welcome. Young and friendly team. Organization isn't their strong point: some servers are busier than others, to the point of sweating profusely, while others take unnecessary steps. They need to improve their hygiene (for example, not wiping sweaty hair before picking up plates... and maintaining impeccable attire). The food is okay.

This was our second time having lunch at the Tante Jeanne restaurant in Hossegor. As with our first visit, the quality of the food, the setting, and the atmosphere were all excellent. We had a very pleasant time. However, the end of the meal unfortunately left a bad impression. After ordering a coffee, I waited almost 25 minutes without being served. I asked the waiter several times, and each time he replied, "He's coming." He even offered to take my payment while I waited. After 25 minutes, I started to think that my coffee would never arrive—or that it would be cold anyway. So I decided to leave the restaurant, telling the waiter that I was leaving without having been served. To my great surprise, this elicited no reaction, no apology, no explanation. The most surprising thing is that this coffee, which was never served, was still charged to my bill. It's not about the amount, it's about principle. It's regrettable, because this abrupt end to the service contrasts sharply with the quality of the rest of the experience. A simple apology, a gesture of goodwill, or simply removing the coffee from the bill would have been enough to leave a much better impression. I hope this point will be taken into account, because this restaurant deserves better than this kind of conclusion.

If you're passing through the area and feeling a bit peckish, don't hesitate!

Basic and not very generous portions. I ordered the salmon, mango, and avocado ceviche; the quantity was more like an appetizer, and everything was roughly chopped and assembled. My partner ordered the grilled octopus and ended up with two measly tentacles and some purée—hardly enough to fill a man up 😅. Luckily, the desserts were excellent and plentiful, which meant we didn't leave the restaurant hungry. I recommend making a reservation, as it gets very busy.

Absolutely lovely icecream. Could spend more time here trying all the flavours. Great stop off on a family day out.

A place to eat quickly and continue enjoying your vacation, second floor above the restaurant and patio in the courtyard, also a terrace for having a few drinks, plus the ultra-fast service

Great for ice cream in the evening. Just make sure the containers are the right size so you don't end up eating ice cream on your fingers after 3 seconds ;)
