My wife and I went to the tavern on a Saturday night. We had a reservation. The place is absolutely charming and very welcoming.
The staff are exceptionally kind. And what can I say about the food? You can go there without hesitation. There's a wide variety of expertly prepared dishes that are delicious and quite generous, especially if, like me, you appreciate good food. You'll be in for a treat.
I highly recommend it, and once again, thank you to the whole team.

We visited La Taverne several times during our stay in Rouen, and our experience was a success every time! A warm atmosphere, cheerful service, and comforting cuisine are guaranteed! Both the covered terrace and the restaurant's interior are inviting and memorable. We ate duck, Welsh rarebit, a fried Camembert burger, carbonnade, Norman apple tart, and everything was worth the trip! :)

It's good, and even though you need to be motivated to eat a welche or a raclette in the sweltering heat, the restaurant stays cool thanks to the stone walls. Excellent atmosphere.

A superb evening! The service was perfect, a smiling waiter with a great sense of humor; efficient service; generous portions of food and drinks for two; and a generous aperitif and digestif. Simply fantastic. The waiters provided detailed information about the food and drinks. The restaurant is also located in the oldest part of the city, and the food was excellent.
Unlike other restaurants, they serve French beer.
