Tommy's Diner Café sur Vaulx-En-Velin

For an aperitif, I had a watermelon-strawberry iced tea, which was absolutely delicious. I also tried the Sunflower Wraps, and wow… what a disaster! Pieces of wrap with hardened cheese and dried-out pastrami: it was tasteless, both in flavor and appearance. Then, I ordered the famous grilled cheese sandwiches with a side salad. I had asked for the sandwich to be made without onions because I'm allergic… They didn't put any in the sandwich, but there were some in the salad 🙄. As for the sandwich itself: two slices of bread that were way too toasted and dry, with more mustard than melted cheese… and, again, hardened cheese. Really disappointing. To finish, I had a banana milkshake, a safe bet, thankfully. I really think the quality at Tommy's has dropped significantly, while the prices have gone up. Very disappointed with this experience.

Great American-style atmosphere, warm welcome, the jumbo 3-steak burger with fries and cheddar was fantastic, and the cheddar sauce was real, not like the microwaved kind at Burger King. Everything was very generous; I even had trouble finishing it, and I'm usually a big eater. Just be aware that some of the seats are starting to show wear. As a bonus, there's currently a 20% discount when you show your Pathé movie ticket from that evening…

Good value for money, friendly and kind staff, the sauces served at the table weren't great and they really needed a classic mayonnaise for the fries. The children's menu was excellent!
