27/04/2026: Excellent cuisine and very good wine pairing recommendations during the meal.
The service was satisfactory.
BUT
We called on a SATURDAY EVENING at 10:50 PM (last order taken at 9 PM according to the schedule). I don't think they kick people out at 10 PM... We therefore assumed that the restaurant, although perhaps already closed to customers, would still be open, finishing cleaning up, as the last customers shouldn't have left that long ago. Perhaps we were mistaken in our reasoning. In any case, we called the restaurant's number LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE. Instead of being redirected to an answering machine or having the phone ring unanswered, a woman answered. We wanted to know if there was still availability for a reservation the following day at lunchtime. In a very dismissive tone, she replied: "I DON'T SLEEP WITH MY CALENDAR." We were very surprised and apologized, only to be met with another comment: "If you only knew the life we have..."
I find it unacceptable, given the establishment's reputation, to respond this way to customers wanting to reserve a table. Either you don't answer, or you politely reply that the restaurant is closed and that they should call back the next day. I didn't understand why you would answer the restaurant's phone if you were asleep?
So, we were simply very disappointed. It really put us off, especially since I used to love this restaurant and had such fond memories of it, as just a few hours later, I was proposed to during our last visit.
I'm not sure I'll be going back for these reasons.
17/04/2026: I found the restaurant very pleasantly decorated, especially the veranda.
I had a truly excellent lunch. The chef prepares classic cuisine, but it's impeccably executed.
A real pleasure.
The owner was in a cheerful mood, and her staff was very professional.
I'll gladly return.
