We made a quick stop for fries for the kids and a cold beer for the parents. It wasn't very busy, so the fries arrived super fast, fresh and piping hot. It's right by the river, and you can even go swimming here with the kids.

We had the chicken skewers with fries. The skewers were rather tasteless, and the fries had been through the fryer twice. The portion was a decent size. They came with small packets of ketchup, which were probably already covered in ketchup, given how sticky they were. I don't think the price of almost €20 is justified. There are certainly better alternatives than eating here. However, we were a little disappointed.

When other auberges or similar are closed for lunch, Restaurant U Rosimarinu is open 🫶🏽 and you can pay by card! The owners are friendly and funny, and they speak some English. We had crepes with local ingredients: ham & cheese, myrtle. Both were absolutely delicious! (Warning: you have to like the strong herbal flavor of myrtle ;-)) We'd love to come back! You were our savior after a long hike in Bavella and lots of downhill curves 🙏🫶🏽

It seems to be well-visited and is in a prime location, next to a large swimming hole but also a campsite, so always make a reservation. We "only" ate delicious crepes.

A very warm and friendly welcome, delicious homemade food in a truly beautiful spot! We spent the whole afternoon swimming afterwards in a sublime location right at the foot of the restaurant, in a magnificent natural pool of crystal-clear fresh water... You absolutely must go!

31/05/2026: I highly recommend it. A very warm welcome, very friendly owners, spacious and quiet room. Ideally located in a central area. Natural pools are a 10-minute drive away in Zonza, coves are just a stone's throw away, and a magnificent beach is 15 minutes away. Great atmosphere in the evening, with music and a cocktail bar served by a professional bartender. My only slight complaint is that the food was a bit too salty. I had an excellent stay and I will definitely be back. 😉
24/05/2026: We visited the restaurant and had mixed drinks and beer. Unfortunately, the beer is not very good, the draft and mixed drinks are not very good. It was only when paying that we found out that it was cash only ☹️
