U Spuntinu can be find at one of the cutest, cozy little streets in Porto Vecchio.
I wanted to grab more knowledge of the corsican cheeses, wines. That is why I ordered the cheeseplate. Which was amazingly presented & all pieces were delicious.
Sadly the Bar is NOT heaven for tourists who speak only english. As staff is lack of english skills, nobody could explain what type of cheeses are on my plate. Or what else to know abou the wines.
Everything: service was extremely slow & maybe as I was there alone did not get any attention. I felt not really welcomed …
Not nice experience altogether .

Excellent place, it deserves a recommendation from the Rough Guide.
The welcome, the setting, and especially the quality of the food are all there! And the price is very reasonable 👍

A great restaurant for discovering and enjoying Corsican specialties. Well located, yet slightly off the beaten path. There's also a small grocery section—a thoughtful touch, since you pay your bill there, making it tempting to buy some groceries.

In this ultra-touristy town, we went to an equally ultra-touristy restaurant (we had no choice).
The terrace was pleasant.
As for the food, it was expensive for what it was…
The lonzu carpaccio was very good, however, the local gourmet platter was more of a mixed bag.
We also really didn't appreciate the owner's comments to his waitresses… best done off-camera, not on the terrace.

Typical inland dishes, carefully prepared using carefully selected, high-quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you dine here, don't forget to check out the shop where you can purchase traditional products. I dined on a very hot evening; perhaps fans could be installed.
