Vardechois sur Hyeres

I had lunch at Le Vardechois, it's a very good place. We were greeted with a smile and the staff were very friendly. I had a Caesar salad which was very good and generous, made with fresh ingredients. They have a nice menu and in the evening they make pizzas in addition to the regular menu. I highly recommend it and I will gladly return. At the end of the meal, they offer you a glass of Get 1 sparkling wine or rum. Thank you for this lovely experience.

I'm still giving it 5 stars despite a small hiccup. On Friday, I went to order mussels, but some of them were still closed. I told the waitress, who then called the manager, who apologized, which shows that customers are listened to. I also took the opportunity to ask why aioli wasn't on the menu, but it's a shame it's only available by reservation. She did let me taste the aioli, and I must say I ate the whole bowl, it was so delicious! 😋 I'll definitely be back. Thanks again, and see you soon.

I'm rediscovering this restaurant! The welcome was fantastic, the advice was excellent, the portions were very generous and delicious, the meat was high quality—everything was perfect. And to top it all off, the desserts were incredibly good. Don't leave without the complimentary glass of Dijon mustard (I don't drink alcohol, but it was fantastic). You can go there without hesitation; the prices are very reasonable. Next time I'll try the pizzas.

The kind of place you almost hesitate to share… because you won't have any room left. The storefront of Le Vardechois? Well… let's be honest… it doesn't immediately whisper, “Come in, you're about to experience a truly memorable culinary moment.” And yet… BEGINNER'S MISTAKE if you walk by without stopping. The moment you step inside, Sonia bursts in with her boundless energy, her smile, and that way of welcoming you as if you were a cousin she likes… but keeps a close eye on. Here, the food is GOOD. Really good, in fact. And not the kind of “yes, it was nice” that you forget two hours later. No. The kind of food where you taste from other people's plates “just to see” and end up regretting your own choice because everything is so excellent. The set menu is simply outrageous at that price: a generous main course + dessert + a quarter-liter of wine + coffee… At that price, elsewhere you'd sometimes only get to look at the menu. And then there's the chocolate mousse… Excuse me, but this mousse deserves World Heritage status. Dense, rich, comforting… a mousse that looks you straight in the eye and says, "You'll be alright, buddy." Also, be warned: here, using a cell phone during a meal is considered suspicious activity. Sonia is watching. You might get a watchful eye worthy of a school principal in 1997 if you touch your screen instead of your plate. I only managed to take the photos because she had her back turned 🤭 One important detail for pizza lovers: they only serve pizza in the evening… and honestly, considering the rest of the food, it makes you want to come back specifically for it. In short: a real restaurant, just the way we like them. Authentic, generous, vibrant, with character, heart, and dishes that bring joy. Le Vardechois isn't just a restaurant… it's a place where you come to eat and leave feeling loved.

Excellent family restaurant, very good food. Reasonable prices. Natacha is fantastic with an incredible wit. We'll be back if Natacha buys me a free pizza. Well, a promise is a promise, right?

Our go-to spot when friends drop by unexpectedly, where the daily special is always great and reasonably priced at €16.50. 👌 We still need to try the themed evenings! 🥳
