We dined in the outdoor garden, a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. Very friendly staff, good food. The only problem was that we ordered the fish of the day, and you had to clean it yourself, which was quite a hassle. Good prices. Overall, a good dinner, but I wouldn't go back.

A very good seafood restaurant; I ordered the rather expensive lobster menu. The service was impeccable, although the music was just barely tolerable.

We had lunch at this establishment, located a little off the main street. It boasts a very pleasant, shaded outdoor terrace, and we chose the lobster pasta (caught in the Cap Corse waters), which was perfectly prepared. The staff and the owner were very friendly. Despite our late arrival, the service was very welcoming, and we weren't rushed at all. It's an excellent place with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Octopus carpaccio, swordfish tartare, and a 1.2 kg lobster for two! This was followed by a chestnut Alaska and a delicious fiadone. In short, an exceptional culinary experience. Chef Stéphane helped us choose the lobster from the tank at the restaurant's entrance, and our waitress, Gaëlle, helped us select wines after our local aperitif: two Capospritz, one white and one red! In short, a restaurant you absolutely must try: there's something for everyone and every budget! (Not every budget, given the lobster!) But if you love authentic fish, fresh seafood, and impeccable service, you've come to the right place! Frankly, it's one of our best culinary memories of Cap Corse.

Recommended by friends, we can confirm that this is a hidden gem tucked away in an alley and well worth the detour. A warm welcome, a professional waiter who clearly knows his stuff (wine and food). The fish soup and lobster are excellent choices at reasonable prices. If you're passing through Macinaggio, you absolutely must stop and check it out! 👌👍

We visited Northern Corsica during our vacation and, to our great surprise, in Macchiaggio we found wonderful people and an incredible hospitality. We felt especially at home at La Vela d'Oro. Stephane welcomed us into his restaurant and, together with his staff, treated us to a wonderful evening. Adrian was our waiter for the entire evening; he gave us advice, we chatted a lot, and he accompanied us throughout the dinner in an exemplary manner. The food was excellent, with wine recommendations, unique explanations of the dishes, and attentive service. Afterward, we met at a bar just outside their restaurant and stopped for another drink and to chat about our life experiences. This is what I always look for when I visit a new place, and I'm happy to have found it with Stephane and Adrian. We'll definitely be back next year because we had such a wonderful time.
