I went there a few years ago and stopped by again while passing through Brive yesterday. The atmosphere is typically Portuguese, the food is very good, and the welcome is excellent and friendly. It's best to book in advance.

If you want to feel like you're back in Portugal, I recommend this restaurant that I discovered in Brive. We ate really well, the Molotov was divine, well done to the young girl who made it 👍. I advise you to book, victim of its success!

16/01/2026: La Tavola, a love story 💝. I was a customer with friends 20 years ago and still am, mainly for takeout, but it's always a treat. The owners are welcoming and incredibly kind, always going the extra mile to accommodate requests. Here's to a long and happy history with you.

L'Instant Basque

07/12/2025: It was so good that we're obliged to return soon, I hope. Our friends hadn't been before but were delighted.
11/10/2025: Magnificent restaurant "L'instant Basque" in Brive La Gaillarde, where we enjoyed an excellent Limousin rib of beef (cooked to perfection), accompanied by an equally excellent Basque wine. Great professionalism and kindness from the owner towards us and our 2 dogs. A big thank you to you and your team 🙏🏻. We will come back as soon as possible.
