13/07/2026: Passing through town on a Friday evening, practically at closing time, the owner didn't hesitate to seat me at one of his tables. He served me a generous meal, with a drink and dessert, from a wide selection of menus, for a very reasonable price. The restaurant was clean, the service welcoming, and there were smiles despite the late hour. So: don't hesitate to stop by if you're hungry or thirsty. Thank you, boss! Not to mention the impeccable service; they went out of their way to speak our language and gave us the best possible service. We need more places like this in France. Pure joy. 😍😍😍

24/07/2026: A superb discovery in such a touristy area. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (we had three main courses and three desserts). The meat was cooked to perfection and the desserts were delicious. We even got to try the violet mustard... (Excellent!). And what can I say about the setting... nestled among the vines. The only thing missing was a hammock for a relaxing post-meal nap in the shade! The service was quick and friendly... thank you, don't change a thing!

Each dish tells a story, with perfectly balanced flavors and beautifully showcased ingredients. The desserts concluded the meal with the same exquisite finesse. The wine pairings were remarkable. Each glass added a new dimension to the dishes and invited further exploration. We were particularly impressed by the Maray Rouge, a truly delightful discovery that we thoroughly enjoyed. The welcome and service mirrored the cuisine: attentive, discreet, and exquisitely elegant. It's a place where you feel at ease, driven by a genuine passion for the craft. We left completely won over and will gladly return.

03/07/2026: What a wonderful and unexpected discovery this excellent restaurant was last Saturday! This day of mishaps ended on a delightful note. The manager and staff were incredibly kind (thank you so much for the precious glasses of water during our ordeal...) and encouraged us to give it a try. The setting is cozy, with a clean yet chic decor, creating the ambiance of a small, trendy business-neighborhood restaurant for discerning diners. This establishment takes simple dishes and elevates them into beautifully presented little masterpieces. I opted for the veal medallion, the cod hidden beneath its ravioli with mussels and that marvelous sauce; And finally, this strawberry ice cream with its melting white chocolate, adorned with a few strawberries and a stained-glass-shaped biscuit that I reluctantly devoured 😋 All this for a very reasonable price considering the remarkable quality of the food served; we're therefore close to perfection. It was exquisite, beautifully presented, and truly original in its approach to the dishes. It's impossible to guess what awaits you from the outside; going in and taking a chance is the best decision you can make. This place will delight lovers of good, well-crafted, and surprising cuisine. Special mention to the charming tattooed waitress, whose warmth and gentleness charmed us and soothed my overly sensitive heart. We're truly sorry about the motor oil spilled in front of your door... we won't hesitate to come back, without any mishaps this time 😅

Located just 3 minutes from the motorway exit, it offers a much more pleasant break and a far better meal than the bland food at motorway service areas, and all for a nearly comparable price!

04/06/2026: The most helpful and wonderful people we met during our journey in France. Long story short: I injured my leg, and while driving back home, our car broke down near Ussel. As we urgently searched for a place to stay, we ended up at the Grand Hôtel—and it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. François helped us with absolutely everything: communicating with the workshop, finding local services, and, most importantly, providing us with a charming and comfortable place to stay. His kindness and support helped us cope with all the unexpected problems that suddenly came our way. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, the rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. To my mind this hotel could be a perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding region. A million thanks to François and the entire team for their hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care. We will never forget your help during a very difficult moment of our trip. Highly recommended!

13/07/2026: A superb atmosphere in a very pleasant setting. Many bars are closed on Sunday evenings in Brive, so we weren't disappointed to find the Watson!
