Vive, Maison Mer sur Paris

The restaurant was good (a bit pricey for the quality, but especially for the quantity) and the service was only moderately friendly, as it wasn't at all kid-friendly. They wanted us to leave the restaurant quickly because our 5-month-old baby was sometimes making a bit of noise (no crying, just a baby discovering his voice). It was a shame to feel like we were intruding, and especially to have to hear him...

Overall, a very pleasant evening. A minor drawback was being seated on the ground floor instead of upstairs. When we asked the waiter at the end of our meal what the difference was between the two floors, he told us they were the same and that we could go upstairs next time. However, we noticed that the people seated upstairs were mostly in suits and evening gowns, so I think the seating is based on the waiter's judgment and not on the restaurant's occupancy, which is a shame. Everything was very good overall. The menu was a six-course affair, with the first three courses served simultaneously, including a salad. This is a bit unusual. A smaller portion is expected for an €89 menu. Everything is meant to be shared, which is nice at the beginning of the meal but perhaps not throughout. The plates deserve a little attention so as not to get a chipped piece; these are important details for restaurants of this level.

I had a great time. Everything was very good.

I'd been walking past this restaurant for a while, and the menu always looked tempting. We opted for the tasting menu and were delighted. It's a shame they don't offer more cocktails (only one on the menu plus a mocktail). However, we tried the featured cocktail of the day (bergamot spritz) and it was delicious! The prices are reasonable for the quality, and the service is friendly.

Overall, a very good meal at Vive restaurant. The service was truly excellent and pleasant, and the restaurant is beautiful. Even when it's full, you can easily chat with your table. As for the food, I loved my sea bass with its homemade purée and the strawberries for dessert—perfect for a summer meal! The oysters were good, but perhaps a little too cold because of the ice? My friend ordered whelks and gave me the same feedback. Aside from this minor detail (maybe we're just being picky!), I recommend it 100%!

A superb spot for fish, we loved it! Thanks to David Le Quellec, who works his magic behind the counter, delivering exquisite dishes that elevate high-quality ingredients. A minor drawback was the wine selection; the partnership with LVMH, while understandable, was a bit disappointing. We would have preferred a rosé or a grower's champagne. We'll definitely be back, because the food is truly outstanding.

The langoustine ravioli, vitollo tonno, and grilled octopus were really good. The sauces were very flavorful; we enjoyed all the dishes. Dessert was fine. Good service. A great place with reasonable prices.

For our son's 50th birthday plus other May birthdays. We were seated on the first floor when a table of eight arrived, and with only five of us, it was difficult to hear each other. The meal was perfect except for the asparagus, which was too firm. No amuse-bouche with the aperitif, which was a shame! And the paper napkins were also a shame.
