We were delighted with our dinner at Voisin & Fils. A wonderful welcome, warm service, and an absolutely excellent seafood platter. This meal was a wedding gift, and we were truly thrilled. Thank you to our friends Muriel and Bernard for this lovely discovery. We will definitely return soon to share it with other friends.

As previously at Bistrot Del Mar, Voisin & Fils is a must-see in the heart of Nîmes for seafood, nestled away from the city's hustle and bustle, like a discreet port just a stone's throw from the Arena.
The atmosphere is most pleasant, between small marine mythologies and aquatic bestiary. The inexhaustible Monsieur Serge, an old sea dog who has weathered all storms, wisely steers the helm. As a seasoned boatswain, a very special mention goes to Andrès, whose warm welcome is matched only by his impeccable and attentive service. Voisin & Fils is a charming restaurant, ideal for a relaxing moment in a setting filled with the scent of the sea. Bright white tablecloths and napkins evoke the foam of the waves and dress the tables with refined simplicity.
The plates, decorated with fish prints seemingly floating on a motionless sea, seem to invite the sea to the table, while the light plays on their glossy surfaces, recalling the shimmering glow of waves in the sun. The air, subtly charged with a light breeze, blends a salty freshness with the subtle scent of seaweed, heralding a true journey of the senses.
The marine banquet sets sail with a few starters: mussels au gratin, revisited deviled eggs, Greek salad, or charcuterie to whet the appetite. Then comes a sea of flavors with a magnificent seafood platter, accompanied by its creamy homemade aioli. Each bite reveals a subtle balance of suave sweetness, marine flavor, and minerality, as if the sea itself were inviting itself into the tasting. From the first plump oyster to the last crisp shrimp, including mussels with iodine accents, whelks with a nutty note, and crabs to savor with your fingertips. The "Utah Beach" oysters are true gems, and each plate is an invitation to sail on waves of freshness and delicacy. Accompanied by a selection of finely chosen wines, the meal unfolds like a sailboat on the open sea, stripped of all superfluity, the essence of the sea spray asserting itself like a sea poem, with only the quintessence of seafood.
A final touch to perfect this moment, which ends with the delicacy of exquisite sweetness, like a gourmet bow, the last ray of sunshine on the horizon of a memorable crossing, to bring this feast to a beautiful close.
