Yama Sushi sur Bussy-Saint-Georges

We went to this sushi restaurant last night and were thrilled from the start. The atmosphere is modern, stylish, and cozy at the same time – perfect for relaxing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and they gave us excellent advice. The sushi was simply outstanding: fresher than fresh, the fish was top quality, and the rice base was perfectly seasoned. We were particularly impressed by the salmon nigiri, the dragon roll, and the tuna tartare. The miso soup and green tea were also fantastic. Everything was beautifully presented and served at just the right temperature. The price-performance ratio is excellent, and you can tell that they put a lot of love and skill into their work. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to any sushi lover! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We spent five years in Bussy St Georges, and this was our favorite restaurant from September 2020 to September 2025. Yes, we should have written this review last year when we were leaving, but it was too soon. We are a French-Asian couple who very often ordered set menus on Friday evenings (usually early). It was our ritual, our escape. No preparation, no dishes, a balanced meal, and 100% safe food—we were quickly won over by this restaurant and the lovely couple who own it! They always had little touches; if it wasn't a drink or a beer for me, it was a sweet treat or shrimp chips—always spoiling us. Of course, it would be dishonest to say I ate the best sushi there. But these are the best value sushi I've ever had, by far, and I challenge any critics to find better at the same price. Today, my partner and I live in Vannes and eat overpriced (touristy) sushi, yet it lacks that human touch, those smiles, those few words exchanged that we've missed so much for the past year. Keep delighting people with your sushi, which is, in short, the tastiest and most honest I've ever tasted.

Incredible service, the servers were very friendly and efficient. The food was fresh, the kebabs weren't tough at all and were very tender. I highly recommend this restaurant.

After reading the bad reviews, I figured they must be fake; it couldn't be anything else! The food is excellent and the welcome very warm. I highly recommend it! One of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to! 😀
