🌟 A perfect stay at Les Platanes
We had an excellent three-day stay at the Hotel Les Platanes in Thueyts, and we highly recommend it!
What we particularly loved:
The exceptional welcome: The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and offers excellent advice for exploring the beautiful Ardèche region.
The comfort and amenities: The hotel offers all the modern conveniences that make a difference, including an elevator (very practical for luggage) and efficient air conditioning, essential for cool nights.
The peace and cleanliness: The establishment is impeccably clean, and the surroundings are particularly peaceful, ideal for relaxation. Our little French bulldog was very comfortable as dogs are welcome.
Breakfasts: Very complete, perfect for fueling up before heading out for sightseeing or hiking.
Convenience: Free parking is located right next to the hotel, making getting around much easier.
In short: A wonderful place to stay in Thueyts, combining comfort, tranquility, and a friendly atmosphere. We will definitely return!

07/01/2026: I had a lovely 3-night stay with my son in the summer of 2012, without having booked in advance, and I have very fond memories of it. The staff were very friendly and attentive to their needs. I enjoyed the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. I would gladly recommend this establishment.
04/01/2026: We were the only guests that evening, and the welcome was warm and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and the room very comfortable.

07/01/2026: One summer in 2013, I arrived from Marseille around 1 p.m. The restaurant was packed, with only one or two seats left at a table. I was alone, and the manager refused to give me a seat because I was hungry and tired from the drive (I was coming from Marseille to Haute-Loire and wanted to take my lunch break and rest a bit). So I went elsewhere and found another restaurant on the road, located before the police station, where I was able to eat and rest during my lunch break. Since then, I haven't been to that restaurant. The owners aren't friendly; they refuse to serve solo customers. It's discrimination and illegal.
07/11/2025: It's a shame the starter is served at the same time as the main course; it's silly because you end up missing out on the starter just to get your hot meal... I had to leave my starter behind. Otherwise, the food was good and the service was very good.

26/01/2025: Very disappointing address, cold welcome, exorbitant prices for frozen food and meats of dubious provenance. And in addition, the suspicious little hair in the fries...
The chocolate mousse and ch'tiramisu slightly save the deal.
09/11/2024: More expensive than advertised: a daily menu displayed on the side of the road which does not exist. Lack of friendliness.
