Palais de Chine
Besancon
16/02/2026: Hong Kong, Hong Kong... isn't a destination, but a pause.
A warm enclave in the grayness of Besançon, welcoming and inexpensive.
We ate there without fanfare, but consistently, and that was enough to warm our souls more than our plates.
The mass-produced desserts left a slight impression, like a reminder that every refuge has its limits.
Thank you to Mayoké for inviting me to this little place.
11/02/2026: A truly authentic Asian restaurant 😃
Everything was delicious, from the lychee cocktail to the desserts, and a wonderful discovery was the meat and vegetable fondue served in two different broths.
The service was impeccable, handled with efficiency and kindness.
We'll be back...

Perle D'asie
Besancon
07/01/2026: A very good Asian restaurant. The owners are also super friendly.
06/01/2026: This town was just a stop on our journey, but in the heart of winter, it offered us one of the most comforting moments of the trip: a piping hot Vietnamese fondue.
From the moment you step inside, the decor immerses you in a familiar, authentically Vietnamese atmosphere. The menu features classic dishes—pho, bún bò, fried rice, and fondue—with equally delicious side dishes. As a Vietnamese person myself, I was touched by the authenticity of the flavors. Add to that the kindness of the owners, generous portions, and affordable prices: this place was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend it.

19/01/2026: Fantastic! A flawless meal from start to finish, with sublime and delicious flavors!
The beef wok was so tender and fragrant!
Thank you to the entire team for their professionalism and kindness!
I'll definitely be back in Besançon next time!
Bravo!
07/01/2026: September 22, 2025 - I stumbled upon this restaurant online while passing through Besançon, a city completely shut down on Sundays and Mondays. I was blinded by the reviews from trendy, eco-conscious customers who claimed it was an excellent restaurant, praising both the friendly service and the delicious food, etc., etc.
The waitress asked us to confirm that we would vacate our table before 9 pm, as we had a reservation for 7 pm. At that moment, we truly thought we had found the Holy Grail. In fact, we had found it the previous evening at Pitaya Thai Street Food, located about a 7-minute walk away on Rue des Granges. Believe it or not, they both serve the same Asian-inspired dishes, such as spicy Indian curries, teriyaki fish, and Thai cuisine. The difference is that the rich, organic-loving hipsters go to Petit Atelier to spend more, while the rest of the working class goes to Pitaya Thai Street Food to save money on the same dishes, and Pitaya doesn't kick you out for a while.

30/03/2024: Correct table, overpriced wine. No price displayed. We would have liked to know before that the bottle of wine was charged at 40 euros!
13/03/2024: I took delivery, the packaging keeps the dishes warm. Authentic pad Thai and som tam 👌🏼 I recommend because it was delicious 😊
