01/06/2026: It was a joy to meet Chantal! We organized a party for 70 people and entrusted Kaf des Vieux Amants with the appetizers and the meal. The guests were delighted with the cooking workshops and then loved the meal. The staff is more than professional; a few briefings upon arrival and then everything went wonderfully. In short, pure bliss!

07/06/2026: Tonight, dinner with friends at Pizza Piano, a true pizza institution in the heart of Besançon. Taste-wise, it was simply perfect. Generous Italian cuisine where simplicity is elevated by the quality of the ingredients. We started with a beautiful appetizer platter of Italian products accompanied by seasoned pizza dough, perfect for whetting the appetite. Next, pizzas with remarkable flavors: a soft, flavorful, and perfectly executed homemade dough, topped with high-quality ingredients that create an almost perfect balance. The menu also offers more elaborate recipes, ideal for venturing beyond the classics and discovering new gourmet combinations. I finished with an absolutely memorable tiramisu, probably one of the best I've ever tasted: a generous and soft sponge cake, a light and airy cream, enhanced by the crunch of hazelnuts. A true triumph. The wine list also complements the meal very well. In terms of value for money, the menu might seem a bit more expensive than a typical pizzeria, but this is entirely justified by the quality of the ingredients, the overall experience, and the ambiance. The ambiance itself immerses you in a typical Besançon city center building, with its stone walls, blending old-world charm with modern touches in a decor perfectly in keeping with the restaurant's spirit. 01/06/2026: This is the third time I've eaten at this restaurant, and I must say they make the best pizzas in Besançon. The service has always been impeccable. We were very disappointed last Saturday. The food was great, but the service... atrocious! The dishes were thrown onto the table without any ceremony, the waitress was unpleasant throughout the entire meal, and the atmosphere was awful. We were really in a hurry to leave, which is a shame.

17/05/2026: A truly wonderful discovery in Besançon! The welcome was simply exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which immediately put you at ease. As for the food, it was a real treat. I opted for a flavorful and perfectly executed Arbois-style gratin, accompanied by a Bethanie wine that paired wonderfully. For dessert, the lemon cream meringue was light, balanced, and bursting with freshness. And to finish, an original and fragrant fir liqueur, perfect for concluding the meal. You can feel a real authenticity in both the food and the service. A place I highly recommend!

30/05/2026: Frankly disappointed, mussels and fries, I've never seen such a small cone of fries, the wine glasses were full of limescale stains, the mashed potatoes were the same, the equivalent of a tablespoon, yet it's not what costs so much, the fries and potatoes.

07/06/2026: Excellent value for money, the food is delicious. The setting is lovely, although it could use a bit more decoration. The service is very good, with the only slight downside being the head waiter who seemed a bit annoyed, with a stern face and wasn't very welcoming. The other two waiters were very good. Recommended for a pleasant meal with other calm waiters and good food.

23/02/2026: A great discovery this lunchtime: in addition to offering a delicious set menu for €17.50 (raw vegetables, soup, selection of hot dishes, all you can eat), the owner's welcome, his smile and his good humor won us over.

17/02/2026: A fantastic find! The buffet offers over 18 homemade options: "no microwaves, no frozen food," as the owner proudly proclaims. The all-you-can-eat buffet (without dessert) is €17, and given the quality of the food and ingredients, it's well worth it.

18/04/2026: The nicest café in Besançon. There's a really wide selection of teas, all delicious. The pastries are exquisite, absolutely divine. They also serve exceptional hot chocolate. Add to that a lovely team and a charming setting.
