18/09/2024: Discovered at the bean fair, I hadn't made a reservation and they kindly found us a table for two. The staff is pleasant and available despite the crowds there were. The meal was good and delicious (visually too). If you go to Arpajon, I highly recommend it. I will come back to discover their menu, special fair menu when I go there.

17/09/2024: Friday the 13th in the middle of the Arpajon fair, L'Ardoise had thought big, dinner with a reserved table under awnings outside, we hesitated between taking off the jacket or keeping it on because we were far from the summer evenings. For the meal we were a little disappointed, apart from the foie gras as a starter although we had eaten tastier the last few times, the rest was worthy of a fair stand, the pork was too dry and tasteless, just lukewarm, little to no sauce, served with white beans, slightly tasty but arriving at the table cold, we had to ask again to reheat the plate. So out of the 3 people we were alone, my daughter had a great time but she didn't have the pig. I was expecting a pork cooked over a wood fire, I was disappointed. So in summary, in terms of value for money, the pork dish should have been closer to €16 than €22.50. Finality we enjoyed the foie gras, the champagne and the wine. But that’s already it, you would tell me. On the other hand, the service was impeccable, the 3 young people provided

27/07/2024: Great place to eat home-made food. Portuguese owned, as I was told. Love the hamburger, but missed tasting the typical Portuguese dish that I saw on the tables, some kind of stew, I think. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.
