27/02/2026: An unpretentious restaurant, perfect for meeting up with friends (which is exactly what we did), in a rugby-loving atmosphere and enjoying simple, hearty meals like grandma used to make. We shared a convivial experience at very reasonable prices (starter, main course, dessert, and coffee: €18.10), welcomed and served by a Biarritz rugby legend. Humor and simplicity reigned. No frills, the focus is on the food and the friendly banter. The atmosphere was filled with stories and wonderful moments from the Biarritz Olympique's glory days, and the spirit of two other pillars of the club—Serge Betsen and Serge Blanco—was palpable. (And many others besides.) Thank you, and see you soon, Soso!

26/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Coupole.
The beef tataki was excellent and plentiful.
The service was quick and attentive.

Our last experience at La Coupole was disastrous due to the service and atmosphere.
The staff were neither welcoming nor smiling, but rather dismissive and incompetent. Greeting customers seemed to be a difficult task for them, which is, however, a fundamental aspect of the restaurant business.
Furthermore, leaning on the side of the table instead of being concerned about the well-being of their customers is unacceptable in a restaurant, especially one located in such a beautiful place as Biarritz.
Nevertheless, the breakfast was acceptable.
