22/05/2026: Chalon's newest fast food joint! The food is very good, but don't expect to have time to finish your aperitif, or even your starter or main course, before the next course is already being served. The excuse is that the kitchen needs to be cleared! Once you're served, don't expect a glance from the waitresses (who constantly look at you and laugh!) because they're in the kitchen celebrating the end of their shift! It's a shame because the food is good, but the service is truly what you'd expect from a fast-food joint!

11/08/2026: A disappointment despite its bistronomic aspirations We were quite disappointed by our experience at Côte à Côte. The gazpacho with buffalo mozzarella, served as a starter, was tasteless. It was bland, lacking seasoning and character. The three shrimp tempuras were more like small fritters than true tempura, but they were tasty and provided a pleasant touch to the starter. The main course, duck with apricot potatoes, also failed to impress. We didn't like the combination of flavors, and, more importantly, the portion of duck was quite small compared to the side dishes. The whole dish was sorely lacking in generosity. As for dessert, the "apricot clafoutis" was a particular disappointment. We were expecting a proper clafoutis, but it was more like a few apricots placed on top of a batter with a very firm texture that didn't live up to what you expect from a clafoutis. Finally, the service unfortunately didn't improve things. We found the waitresses rather unfriendly and lacking in warmth. In the end, it was an experience that didn't convince us, especially considering the restaurant's bistronomic positioning. We found the dishes quite attractive, but the taste, the portion sizes, and the service didn't live up to our expectations for the price.

07/08/2026: We're never disappointed at Côte à Côte. The cuisine is refined and original. Everything is always beautifully presented, and the prices are reasonable. The bistro decor is very well done, and there's even a terrace. Plus, it's a peaceful place to eat.

29/08/2026: A very pleasant family meal. A lovely surprise. Excellent in terms of taste. The duck breast was delicious and the small gratin was a delight. The dessert was very mild, not too sweet, a nice balance. The decor and furniture were nice, but not the food; it lacked comfort and refinement. The only downside was the acoustics; the restaurant remains noisy when busy. That was the case for us. The place isn't wheelchair accessible, but we managed. In short, we recommend it.
