Les meilleurs restaurants en Herouville-Saint-Clair

01/07/2026: Lunch as a couple, with a lovely view of the water, on the terrace. Tasty Thai noodles, good salmon tartare (a little more zing would have been nice). It wasn't clear if vegetables were included or extra... And especially, midweek at 12:30 pm, it's a shame they didn't offer the set menu in favor of the regular menu... it's just not the same 🥲 (The excuse given was that there weren't enough customers: the restaurant was full!)

08/06/2026: Warm welcome. The waiters and waitresses were always very pleasant and attentive. Vintage decor and great comfort. Exceptional quality of food and presentation. Thank you.

18/07/2026: It's always a pleasure to visit Céline's. The food is excellent. The service is impeccable. Note the jazz evenings a few times a year where you can dine while enjoying live music.

26/01/2026: Excellent brasserie! Quality food, fast service, and always with a smile. The staff is lovely, and the owners are simply exceptional. More than reasonable prices for such a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

07/02/2026: The pizzas were good, the service was decent, but a bit more smiles and friendliness from the waiter would have been great.

29/01/2026: Now only pizza. Okay, we understand, except it was COLD on top as soon as it arrived at the table because the ingredients were frozen... It's emptying quickly, and we get it. Seriously, make an effort with the service too. It's rushed. Disappointing. At least the atmosphere is quiet given the low number of customers.

12/08/2026: I waited 30 minutes for my order only to find out they had "lost" it. It's a disgrace; the customer service is appalling.

10/08/2026: First and last time at this Subway! A terrible experience with a waitress (a blonde woman). There were no seats available, so we decided to sit inside, even though it was very hot (they really need to invest in air conditioning or at least a fan). The blonde waitress then asked if we could move because she had just cleaned. I politely told her we could eat wherever we wanted, meaning we wanted to sit near the door for some fresh air. We were paying for the service, after all, and I believe I have the right to sit wherever I want, even if the place had just been cleaned! If it had been closing time, I could have understood, but that was far from the case! And then the waitress started verbally abusing us, practically wanting to hit us! She gave us dirty looks, almost threatening! Her attitude was completely unprofessional! They only clean once a day?? Because it was the middle of the afternoon! Two customers came in, but strangely, she didn't say anything to them, probably regulars, I don't know! From what I can read in other reviews, this isn't the first time there have been problems with this waitress! They seriously need to be more careful about who they hire, because this is bordering on indecent! I suppose the cleaning is also done in the evening (well, I hope so), so there was no need to speak to us and be so dismissive! If she doesn't like her job, she should change jobs, there are plenty of them, but avoiding contact with customers clearly doesn't suit her! 😉 Restaurant to avoid!

06/08/2026: I just read the other reviews and I disagree with many of them. I've been going to Sub twice a month since it opened in Hérouville. Before, I used to go to the one in Caen. The atmosphere is very calm and the staff are always smiling. There's conversation while the sandwich(es) are being made, and I've never heard any strange behavior from the employees (special mention to the young woman with short hair who is a real ray of sunshine). That said, the restaurant closes a little early, but apart from that, everything is just perfect. I recommend it to all my friends and family whenever the conversation turns to fast food. :D

30/06/2026: In this type of restaurant, the most important things are the food and cleanliness. Cleanliness is OK, but the food is not. Everything has been sitting in the containers for too long and is dried out. For example, I was only able to eat a potato gratin. The ice at the bottom of the container melted due to the lack of refrigeration. It had no taste. I'm very disappointed because there are many Asian restaurants in the Caen area, but this one doesn't measure up.

27/06/2026: Good all-you-can-eat restaurant, a huge selection of dishes, fairly good quality, and they offer a wok station with quite a few sauces.

15/07/2026: The Flunch restaurant is no longer there. A wasted trip 😮‍💨

13/07/2026: The establishment is closed. I went there for nothing on July 13th around 7pm.
