11/09/2026: I thank the people who cancelled their reservations and allowed us to have a table for lunch today. The food was of very high quality, and the chefs and waiters were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Homemade cuisine using ingredients from the Île d'Oléron. Unique flavors and excellent presentation. In short... don't hesitate.

16/09/2026: We went there for lunch. A very warm welcome, a smiling and very pleasant waitress. The savory buckwheat crepes were generously filled and very good, as were the sweet crepes. Beautiful presentation. Very reasonable value for money. Fast and efficient service. The decor and wooden furniture are splendid, blending a soothing green with the color of raw wood.

22/09/2026: So, the establishment is dirty, there's no service despite the lack of customers. The cocktails are bad, as is the service at the counter.

17/09/2026: A nice, cozy place. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the games room. We'll be back to try the pizzas, which weren't available the evening we visited.

08/09/2026: Having first visited in June at the end of our road trip, we're back in the area, this time in St. Palais. So, we didn't hesitate to cycle here this Saturday, September 12th, to enjoy these delicious wood-fired pizzas. The crust is thin, just the way we like it, the ingredients are high quality, and the pizzas are cooked to perfection. So, kudos to the pizza maker! And even as the season draws to a close, the owner remains as friendly as ever. Thank you again for this delicious break, and best wishes to your team for the end of the season! We highly recommend this place and will definitely return on our next trip to your region.

28/08/2026: A welcoming restaurant that serves quite late; we arrived around 1:45 pm and were welcomed without any problem. The place was full, but we managed to get a table for two. We ordered the €22 set menu, which included shrimp mayonnaise as a starter, followed by mussels and fries and a sugar crepe. We also had a local Chardonnay wine from the wine list and Pineau des Charentes as an aperitif. We enjoyed our meal, and the staff was very friendly. Afterwards, we took a short visit to the Chassiron lighthouse, which is right next door.

19/06/2026: Avoid at all costs! A tourist trap that's dangerous to your health A dreadful experience from start to finish. We came to eat as a couple, and the result was catastrophic: Deplorable freshness and cuisine: The mussels (Marinière dish) were completely bland, mushy, and mealy. Even worse, an abnormal number of flies were swarming over the dish. As a result, my colleague and I suffered from severe stomach aches almost immediately after leaving the table. Everything pointed to spoiled products. The shrimp, meanwhile, were served barely lukewarm. Nonexistent hygiene: Seeing the waitress petting dogs on the terrace and then immediately serving plates without washing her hands is simply unacceptable for a restaurant. Service and ambiance: An immeasurable wait time (20 to 30 minutes for simple mussels and fries and a very basic crepe). Don't be fooled by the location: the setting is nothing special, you can barely see the sea. In short, a pure tourist trap that relies solely on its proximity to the Chassiron lighthouse. Avoid it if you value your health.
