19/08/2026: I don't know what happened in the kitchen today, but the fries were truly inedible, hard and with a very peculiar aftertaste. I had to throw them away and I won't be trying it again.

13/08/2026: Great chip shop! We've been going there at least once a week for a little over a year now, and we're always happy. The portions are sometimes even a bit too generous (it's rare to complain about that, haha!). The owner is always very friendly too.

05/07/2026: Perfectly cooked fries, generous portion, pleasant and smiling service, all for a really reasonable price, I'll gladly come back (not too often so I can keep my summer body 😁)

08/08/2026: A great chip shop in Hoymille, with a café (open the same hours as the chip shop) where you can buy scratch-off lottery tickets. You can eat in or take away; the staff are really friendly and the chips and sandwiches are delicious.

28/03/2026: This chip shop is a disaster. I've never eaten anything so bad. I ordered fries and a cervelas sausage. The fries tasted like cardboard, and the cervelas was disgusting. I didn't even finish my meal. I'll never go back to this chip shop.

13/08/2026: I came with my son at lunchtime and it was great. We had a wonderful meal, no complaints, we'll definitely be back. See you soon.

11/08/2026: I used to come here regularly and really enjoy my food until recently; the fries were cut fresh and were delicious. Unfortunately, those days seem to be over. I went by on Tuesday evening, August 11th, and what a disappointment! I ordered an American-Mexicanos burger, and the result was CATASTROPHIC. There were very few fries, they were as hard as wood, and they seemed either to have been cooked multiple times or in excessively used oil. The bread was awful, like it had been defrosted and was falling apart, and the Mexican-style burger was way overcooked. I think there's been a recent change of ownership because going from a good chip shop to this disgrace in such a short time is almost magical.

16/08/2026: The picture speaks for itself. €4.50 for a large order of fries with rotten potatoes! It's shameful, and I'm not even talking about the taste.

16/08/2026: My sister came in today for fries. Seeing a crowd in front of the chip shop, she asked the woman how long the wait would be for just one fry. The woman told her 5-10 minutes. My sister replied, "5-10 minutes?" with a surprised look. The woman answered, "Yes, because there are still four more burgers to make." My sister clarified, saying there was no problem and that she was just asking for confirmation because she found it very quick (we were expecting a longer wait given how busy it was!) and that it was a good thing! Then, the man turned around and said rudely, "We have other customers, would you like to go to the back?" pointing towards the kitchen. So, if my sister had said the wait was long, fine, but that wasn't the case at all; on the contrary, it was actually a good thing for you! But of course, she's just a young girl ordering a fry, so that justifies acting tough… a customer is a customer, and you can always build a loyalty. When I get fries in Maubeuge, I always come to your place; I was even supposed to eat there with a friend tomorrow, but after this experience, I'll make sure no one I know ever spends another €1 there, since apparently, being rude is free at your place.
