When I finally decided not to order anything, the manager refused to serve us, claiming that I hadn't ordered anything. We explained that we planned to have lunch at his establishment. His response was, "Have a grenadine or a mint tea!" in a particularly unpleasant, pedantic, and condescending tone. So we went to the neighboring restaurant, Le Perroquet, where we were greeted with a smile. We ate very well there, and I was able to order a long coffee without any difficulty.
