02/08/2026: Parked in the square, and nothing open in L'Escarène. Great find. Beautiful food. Pizza, plat du jour was beef with salad and fries. Was really tasty, and large portions too.
Refreshing local beer. And all at reasonable prices.

12/08/2024: Relatively pleasant welcome with good explanations on how the bivouac works around the lodge. Pitches for tents are quite limited, be careful not to arrive too late. The outdoor solar shower is very pleasant, you can use the restaurant tables to cook yourself.
However, the prices are quite high for a lodge which can be supplied very easily by road, the sandwiches are expensive, moderately good and very small...
06/08/2024: Good meal but overpriced (much more expensive than the refuges in the high mountains which are more difficult to supply)…
