04/11/2024: Menu with traditional and local dishes, hearty and tasty. Warm welcome and service with attention paid to children (colored pencils and small games on the placemat).
Spacious parking on site, easy to access.
24/09/2024: Impersonal service from the owner and other waitress.
One waitress was really pleasant and it was her first day.
The burger arrived massively undercooked from my requested cuisson and I left my seat to find the waiting staff as it was busy and they appeared understaffed, with no sign of any staff checking on us anytime, soon.
The disgruntled owner took my burger, offered no apology and when it was returned by the grumpy waitress it was partially slammed on the table, again with no apology making us feel an inconvenience.
We requested a carafe of wine, which apparently they don’t offer.
€21 for a bottle of wine to then see that they do offer carafes of wine at a snip of the price of a bottle.
At least their profits are up!
On attempting to pay I was ignored by the owner for 7 minutes whilst he attended to some bills. Could he not have just acknowledged me and communicated that he would be a few moments?
He then disappeared, still without communicating or acknowledging me.
I continued to wait until grumpy waitress arrived and said the owner would be a few moments (for me to pay)
He didn’t return in a few moments, so I suggested to the waitress that I leave the money on the bar.
Grumpy waitress tutted and said he is arriving quickly.
On the owners arrival he suggested I was in a hurry in an obnoxious way - I responded that I wasn’t in a hurry, but had waited close to 15 minutes for the joy of paying (I didn’t mention how sub standard and expensive and rude they are)
He shrugged his shoulders and we will never return.
Shame on the owner for giving tacit approval to other staff that this treatment of customers is acceptable.
Shame on the owner for not recognising problems and fixing them with a simple bit of courtesy and an apology.
It’s not the first time that we’ve been disappointed and left angry and robbed of our hard earned money here - but it’s now the last as we won’t ever return.
