22/03/2026: I came from the Paris region with one of my daughters and her children to celebrate my sister Colette's birthday with her children, grandchildren, and partners!
We all had a fantastic evening, thanks to the delicious food, the attentiveness of Rose, the owner, her DJ who kept the party going, and the five dancers who brilliantly brought the Réunion Island theme to life. The atmosphere was great with the other customers, thank you so much, we'll be back! 😉🤗
26/01/2026: We discovered this restaurant today with the aim of testing the food for a catering project in the area soon. While the food was quite decent, we left very disappointed with the service. The dining room was packed with only two people serving, so we understood that the service was going to be slow. There were three of us, and we had ordered a main course and dessert. The result: over an hour's wait for our main courses! And even then... of the three of us, the third course was served only after the first two were half-eaten! We politely pointed out to the waitress that the service was a bit slow, hoping for at least a minimal apology, although we understood it was a Sunday and given the number of people they had to serve. She apologized kindly, explaining that they were short-staffed. Okay, don't act. But then, imagine our surprise when we were verbally attacked by the owner, who complained about the lack of staff and the impossible hours she'd been working since morning! And it was Sunday...!! (The implication being that we had plenty of time... unbelievable 😲!!) Even the couple eating next to us couldn't believe their ears!! We were willing to be understanding if things had been explained to us with a few apologies, but to be dismissed like that, what kind of respect do you have for your customers, Madam! If you no longer have the patience to explain the situation to people, you shouldn't have accepted our reservation in the first place. Being so overwhelmed and making customers suffer like that is simply unacceptable! You have absolutely no customer service skills!! For a business owner, it's a real shame!
So yes, you might say, you offered us an aperitif to apologize for the delay (over two hours at the restaurant for three people for one aperitif, one main course, and one dessert!), fine, you deserve at least that, but even that was done so reluctantly and in such a completely unempathetic tone... In short, very disappointed, and given the reception, we will be choosing a different venue for our next event.
