17/07/2026: Lovely, tasty lunch and local beer & cider. Huge shout-out to the owner, who enthusiastically offered his unsolicited advice on where to spend our afternoon, showing us a lovely drive arou.d the region with all sorts of little villages and sights we would have entirely missed.

07/09/2026: Rudeness personified! Terrible welcome, arrogant and annoyed attitude (we had two children and didn't speak fluent French). We specified that even though it was noon we wanted breakfast, they sat us at a table they said was set for lunch. They removed the place settings (silverware), served coffee, and while we were still eating, the very friendly owner literally snatched the paper napkin from under my hand and entered the restaurant. I told her, shocked, that I had already used it, and she replied that she had thrown it away, that the table was set for lunch, not breakfast. I told her that we had clearly specified that we wanted a petit dejeuner, and she responded with a seraphic smile that her colleague hadn't understood. So what? You take away a napkin I'd already used during breakfast out of spite? I'm speechless! I've never seen such rudeness.
