17/09/2024: Very good food and very welcoming staff

09/09/2024: Called in without booking - were greeted with no words or smiles. They pushed two tables together and left us. Menu looked ok but it was three courses don’t expect sandwiches…..we waited. We were the only English in the busy restaurant, people coming in after us were greeted,.,.seated and orders taken. After 25 minutes we had been ignored to the extent we hadn’t even ordered drinks or received acknowledgment from staff when we tried to get their attention. Thus we got up and left. We are a mature group in our 50s and 60s who visit the area religiously every year. We left feeling deflated, more so we felt we weren’t wanted.
