01/06/2024: Even before returning, we already have doubts. The frontage is not very appealing. But it’s Sunday evening, far from home, and apart from the big American fast food chain next door, it’s deserted. So we try. The advantage when entering is that you can immediately see the buffet before even being installed. So we know what awaits us. 7:45 p.m., mostly half-empty dishes, and little choice. The welcome is cordial, we are seated, we look at the menu, and…. 21.90€ for the buffet on weekends.!!Personally I like to have a little beer to wash it all down, so we already know that we are going to spend 25 bucks knowing that we have already seen the half-empty buffet... so we wonder what we will be able to eat to make the most of the €21.90 menu. Come on, let's get started. I avoid suschi (a risky food and I have doubts about its cleanliness), fried foods are bad, cooked dishes are really bad, but grilled beef skewers are not wrong. As for the desserts, well… it’s really meh too. Hygiene-wise, I put my radar on alert while cooking my beef skewers. We see the whole kitchen. So I didn't see any insects running along the baseboards, but the whole thing didn't seem very clean anyway and it was seriously a mess. So I know, it’s not the same culture. But in France, we have hygiene rules to respect. And then we French have fragile intestines. No joke, if you are in the region, wait until you are in Chambéry or Grenoble to eat. Otherwise you will waste 1 hour of your time and money for a more than mediocre restaurant.
